Gypsy (in Indiana)'s Story...
Hi! My name is Gypsy and I am a 3-1/2 year old female Papillon. Just check out my big ears! My foster mom describes me as lovable, lively and smart! It doesn’t get any better than that, right? I love to go on walks and zoom around the fenced in yard. By the way, I’m potty trained, too! I lived my first few years in a less than desirable residential situation where I was one of 35 Papillons and 15 cats. But I was taken away, my health care needs were met, and I was moved to foster care. I am spayed, up to date on my shots and simply put…in great health! Because of some challenges I lived with I have a few fears, like when dogs approach me when I’m confined in a crate or feel cornered. And I’m a bit shy of strangers until I get to know them. But I live very nicely with the small dogs in my foster family and I am ready to find my new forever best friend. I have a lot of love to give and hope for a forever home with someone who can give me lots of love back. Is that you? If so, please complete an adoption application on our website

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy (in Indiana), a Westfield Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
