Claire's Story...
Hi, hello, let’s play!! I’m Claire! I just adore playing. I’m already spayed and at 4 months old I really excited to go home. My brother and I have been here since we just weeks old. I don’t really remember much before our awesome foster home. I’m our foster home let us live with them. It was way better than living under the porch at our old place. We moved to the shelter from foster care because they said we were big kittens now and ready to start our new adventure. They have really cool toy here, some of them jingle or crinkle or are just super fun to chase! My brother, Dougal, is also super fun to chase (especially when he is being an annoying boy)! Like many girls, I dream of a home where I can be a princess. Princess Claire, who has a whole family to love and pamper her- doesn’t that sound like a kitty dream?! Please rescue this damsel in distress. Rescue me and I promise to love you forever and ever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Claire, a Murphysboro Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
