Radar's Info...

I am in need of an experienced adopter, not good with kids, and not good with birds.

Radar's Story...
This is Radar. He is a Red-Bellied Senegal, presumed Male, and is approximately 3 years old. He was very loved and cared for by his previous owner, however circumstances would not allow him to hang onto him. Radar can be the sweetest bird ever, and also snap at the drop of a hat and not be so nice. We consider him our "bipolar" resident. His personality most resembles one of a cat. He doesn't require too much affection, but there are times when he can be very needy. He will also on occasion fly off his cage and onto your shoulder for attention and snuggles. He loves being out of his cage and around people. Radar is very male preferential and will NOT be adopted out to a woman, NO EXCEPTIONS. His ideal home would be one with a single male or predominantly male owner who can spend a great deal of time with him. He also, does not do well with other birds therefore would need to be an only bird. He is still very young and would have no problem bonding with his new human given the proper time, and environment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Radar, a Burleson Poicephalus (including Senegal and Meyer's) was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poicephalus (including Senegal and Meyer's) for sale in Burleson, or seeking a Poicephalus (including Senegal and Meyer's) from a breeder in Burleson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burleson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burleson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poicephalus (including Senegal and Meyer's) breeders who help with Poicephalus (including Senegal and Meyer's) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burleson paves the way for another one to be saved.
