Sweet Mick, currently 68 lbs, was dumped by his owner at a busy freeway intersection in Houston. After living on the street for some days & chasing cars to find his owner, Mick came into our rescue. He turned out to be the sweetest pup. He became friends with his foster's pony (as you can see in picture), and he appreciates a second chance given to him. This loving, calm, submissive boy is looking for a home where he can be treated as a family. If that's you, then please email nextsamaritan@gmail.com

About Next Samaritan Project

About Our Rescue Group...

Our animal rescue section has been organized with very compassionate volunteers whose only goal is to save a pet. Each day hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the kill-shelters of America. In Houston itself, we have the largest population of strays and our shelters are full with strays and abandoned animals including those surrendered by their owners because of reasons such as unwillingness to take care of them, pregnancy, divorce, loss of job, loss of home, prison intake, loss of compassion, empathy, you name it. Add to this, are abandoned pets on the side of the street by owners. Our mission is to give these puppies another chance at love and life. If every person will stop buying from breeders and adopt a shelter pet and spay and neuter them, we will be able to eradicate our euthanasia problem.

Our Adoption Process...

Fees : $125 - $250

You will require to fill out an adoption application available on our website www.nextsamaritan.org/intakes.html or via email request. We require homecheck and vet check for approval and meet and greet. You are not required to pay adoption fee unless approved.
Upon approval, we will sign a contract.
We spay/neuter our animals prior to adoption unless they are under 6 months for which we will require a spay/neuter agreement in place.

Out of town adopters will be responsible for transport or pay for transport which can be anywhere between $75 - $150.
