This beyond adorable boy is a 1 year old black and tan German Shepherd mix to us from the Downey Shelter in CA. This guy is tall, lanky and lean and a ton of fun. Those ears give Roqui quite the unique look and we think it is adorable.
Roqui gets along well with other dogs and just loves to play. We believe he would do well going to Doggy Day Care or a dog park because he hangs out with anywhere from 3-5 other dogs here at the rescue. He would do better with dogs that are closer to his size than with smaller dogs because as a young boy, his play style is rough and tumble. This youngster loves toys and bones but doesn't like to share his bone. He will run, chase, wrestle and play tug with others. When he stands still for a minute, Roqui likes ear rubs. Roqui would do well with a family that is active and looking for a companion who likes to hike, run and play.
Roqui needs some work on his manners as he does jump up and is a bit mouthy, sometimes wanting to play by holding your hand in his mouth. We are working on manners to help him become the wonderful pup we know is there. Because of his lack of manners, young age and size, we would recommend a family with older children. A family that adopts him will be required to attend training classes for both his and their benefit.
Roqui is UTD, microchipped, HW-,on flea/tick/HW preventative and neutered. Adoption Fee $350
