Patches's Story...
Patches is a very sweet 1 year old Border Collie /cross. As with this breed of dog, she has lots of energy that needs to be released with long walks or runs, games of fetch or play time with other dogs. She loves to lay by you for snuggle time and belly rubs. Patches is working on basic commands and walking on the leash. She will use a dog door and is house trained. With her energy level she will do better with older children than toddlers. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchiped. If you are looking for the perfect walking, running or hiking partner, Patches could be the one.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Jackson Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
