Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I wish you could stay with me another day I wish I could change your mind and make you stay 'Cause I'd give anything to hear you say I'll be loving you eternally - from 'Love Is Wicked' written by Nailah 'Nyla' Thorbourne
If ever a little girl needed a pledge of eternal love, it's our sweet goofy Nyla. Nyla is a one year old black and tan Beagle mix weighing 25 to 30 lbs. She had a pretty rough beginning in life. She had no idea what the inside of a house looked like having been left to the mercy of the elements. Her health and well being were neglected as well. She was dumped at a high kill southern shelter confused and frightened. Due to a lack of care she ended up with heartworms, a very preventable disease. Thankfully this sweet happy young lady was pulled into rescue and placed in a foster home so she could undergo the medical treatment she desperately needed. She was successfully treated for her heartworms and just recently completed her rehab so she can finally find her forever people. Nyla learned a few things while in foster like how to be a happy well loved girl living inside a real house. This lovely lass is already house and crate trained. We hear that she loves to be near her humans so she can snuggle up on the couch or find a cozy spot to sleep (she really likes the human bed). Nyla is a laid back girl who isn't very vocal unless she hears a baby cry. According to her foster mom she has been wonderful with the grandchildren that visit frequently. She enjoys taking walks, exploring new things, and of course taking in all the great smells as any true Beagle would. Nyla is friendly with other dogs and enjoys running around with her foster siblings. She has had to compete for food in her previous life so she has been known to walk off with her food dish so she could eat alone; we are glad to report she doesn't run off and hide it like some dogs we know (yes you can laugh, we do). We really don't know how she feels about cats as there are none in her foster home. Nyla is an intelligent girl and is very good with problem solving. She would be a wonderful candidate for further training as a means of building confidence and bonding with her new family. She has caught on to much of what is expected of her, and this having had very little in the way of socialization in her past. She has come a long way in a short period of time and will only get better with further guidance. Nyla is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She is ready to move forward, accept new adventures, and explore new horizons. Nyla has waited so long to find people who will love her forever and always. Will you be the one to say 'I'll be loving you eternally' ?
