Kirk's Story...
Hi I am Kirk, I am very lucky! I was on death row at a local facility and became a Morris Mutt so I could have a chance at life and love. I am a Corgie/Dachshund mix, with short black fur and tan on my face, four feet and chest also a bit of white on my chest, natural tail, my face and BIG ears are definitely Corgie as well as my little short squatty legs. I have such a great heart and want someone to love. I really like toys and I delight in having my very own bed. I had anaplasmosis (low blood platelets caused by ticks) but RX cleared that us, I am neutered and ready to go home so ADOPT me NOW. DOB given 6/16/13

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kirk, a Lubbock Corgi/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Dachshund for sale in Lubbock, or seeking a Corgi/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Lubbock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lubbock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lubbock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Dachshund breeders who help with Corgi/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lubbock paves the way for another one to be saved.
