Facts about Alesha

  • Breed: Plott Hound Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Looking for a snuggle buddy? Look no further. Alesha is a sweet, dainty girl with a striking, soft brindle coat and cute floppy ears. Although she can be shy when first meeting people, she is a lover and warms up to people family quickly. Her favorite things are curling up on the couch with someone and getting her belly rubbed. She also likes sitting on laps. When she gets really comfortable, she will roll onto her back with her paws flopping in the air and her head upside-down.

She is crate trained and mostly potty trained (though she sometimes has accidents if she isn’t taken out regularly). We are working on leash-training and basic commands and she is a quick learner. She definitely wants to please. She enjoys treats and takes them very gently. She is currently undergoing heart worm treatment and is restricted in her activity and interactions, so not sure how she does with other dogs, cats, or kids until her activity restriction is lifted.

Alesha is estimated to be approx 3 years old, Plott Hound mix.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. Our Adoption Process...

Our Mission is to ensure the best fit for each individual dog and applicant. We will not make arrangements for you to meet any dogs outside of an adoption event until you have completed the adoption application. In addition, a dog will not be placed in your home before You Lucky Dog has conducted a thorough reference check and completed a home visit. Please understand that the adoption and home visit process is not designed to be frustrating and drawn out, but rather to guarantee the safety and happiness of the dogs. During the home check, we will make sure that each pet in that home has been neutered/spayed and is up to date on all of their shots. The home check will be completed by the foster for the dog that you are considering adopting when feasible. Our foster parents dedicate their time and money to loving and training these dogs, and we rely on their input when meeting with a potential adopter. If your application is approved and your home visit meets the requirements that we have established, you will be required to sign a contract in order to complete the adoption process. The adoption fee is $300. All dogs will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots prior to adoptions.
