Gus's Story...
This shy fellow is Gus and he is on the lookout for his loving forever home. Gus is a very sweet boy that just needs a little patience to come out of his shell. He loves having the base of his tail skritched and this is a good way to win him over. Once he is comfortable, he loves to rub his head against your legs. He is also a fan of playing with cat-nip mice. Gus came to us with his buddy Max and the two of them would greatly prefer to go to their new home together. Gus is the more outgoing of the two and Max really looks to him for reassurance. If he doesn't go home with Max, he can go to a home with a really mellow cat. Dogs are a bit scary to him and he would prefer a home without any. He'll also do best in a home with older children or adults only. If you would like to meet Gus, please come to the front to fill out an adoption application today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
