Dexter's Story...
Dexter is one of the best love muffins out there. He is great with kids, all adults, other dogs, cats and even birds. Dexter is a tiny tot at 12 pounds. He is heart worm negative and on prevention. He is altered, up to date on shots, chipped and is potty and crate trained. He was so scared in the shelter but honestly, warmed up as soon as he was sprung from there. He warmed right up at his foster mom's house and has just been the best boy around. Dexter would be a great addition to just about any family. He does well on a leash and loves going for walks. He is about 2-3 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Dallas Chihuahua/Schipperke dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Schipperke for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Chihuahua/Schipperke dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Schipperke breeders who help with Chihuahua/Schipperke rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
