Hello! My name is Cubby Bear, and I am the sweetest, most snuggling bulldog you will ever meet! I was a puppy mill momma, but the wonderful folks at CEBR rescued me and now I am learning to enjoy the good life. All I want to do is climb up in your lap and give you sweet bulldog kisses and then snuggle! I am four years old, weigh 52 pounds (I’ve lost 5 pounds already but need to lose some more), and I have a lot of extra skin on my belly from being a momma but that will go away eventually. Once the doctors make sure I am completely healthy I will make someone a great companion. I love to go outside and enjoy the sun and grass, and will even go for walks with you! You’re going to have to be patient with me on potty training as going outside is a completely new idea. I am very gentle with children and good with other dogs. I will sleep in a crate but would probably prefer a nice bed or blanket if you please! If you want a snuggler, then I’m your gal! We have set up a link to donate directly to this effort at HOW TO QUALIFY FOR A CEBR BULLY To determine if you qualify to adopt one of our adorable bullies start by viewing our Adoption Area Map. About Chicago English Bulldog Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are the gold standard, the oldest, most experienced, top-notch pure-breed English Bulldog rescue in the Midwest. Our bullies get the highest level of care and commitment. They spend their time with us in foster homes where they get daily love and attention. No cages, no institutions.

We are an Illinois licensed shelter and a 501c3 charitable organization. The care we provide our English bulldogs, including a high quality diet, the best veterinary care from a bulldog specialist, and behavioral evaluations, exceeds any rescue organization around. Your contributions to help care for our bullies would be so appreciated as each rescue typically costs us more in care than the adoption fees we collect. All donations are tax deductible as provided by law. To donate, visit our secure online donation site:

Our Adoption Process...

1. If you would like to know if you are in our adoption area, please View our Adoption Area Map.

We know there are so many wonderful homes out there in other states and other parts of Illinois that we simply can't get to.

2. We will only consider a home with an application on file. So, if you don't have your application on file with us, please fill one out. To fill out our application, please visit:

3. Each application is thoroughly reviewed and will either pass through to a phone interview, or will not move forward. We will contact you if we feel you make the cut. We also require an in-home interview and will advise if you have made it through to that round.

4. Each bulldog will come with an adoption fee that varies from around $575 and up depending on the age and health of the dog. In addition, we require a contract that indicates that if for any reason, you can no longer keep your rescued bulldog, you will contact us directly for rehoming.
