Barney's Story...
Meet Barney
Barney is available for adoption in New England and the Midwest.

Barney is a sweet, older boy, between the ages of 8 to 10 years and weighs about 45 pounds. Barney may be an older man, but don’t let that fool you! He loves to get outside and run in the grass. Barney has some hearing and vision loss, but he has a super nose with a great sense of smell and gets around very well. He gets along well with other dogs and would love a special family to call his own. Barney would make a great companion and would love to go to the park, take walks or go on trips around town.

Barney is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and has been on heartworm and tick preventative.

If you are interested in making this boy a part of your family, go to www.luckylabrescue.com and fill out an application indicating your interest in Barney in the notes section.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Brattleboro Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
