What a doll this little one is! Originally adopted from us a few years ago, Vickie came back to our care following changes at home that left her alone for 10 to 13 hours a day. After being used to having someone home with her all day, this little 20-pounder had trouble adapting to being left alone for so long. Vickie had originally come to us as a stray from a high-kill pound, and is now about 4 years of age. Her breed mix is unknown, but she has somewhat of a Dachshund-type body. Vickie is very affectionate, and is used to living with a gentle little girl. She is also good with other dogs, and may well benefit from the company of another dog or even a cat for when her people have to go out. Vickie’s ideal home will have someone home with her for most of the day, either working from home, working part-time, or retired. A yard with lots of walks and stimulating play would also fulfill Vickie’s needs nicely. Please complete an adoption questionnaire at www.kikodogrescue.ca if you think you have the right home to offer. Vickie will be at our next adoption day at Mon Ami in Kirkland on Saturday, November 12 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Details with a link to a Google map can be found on our website.
