Rufus's Story...
Hi there!
My name's Rufus, I'm a Boxer/American bulldog mix and just a huge HAM!!! I just love attention and playing with other dogs big and small. I'm super submissive and great with children and can't get enough belly rubs! When I was found I was severely emaciated and underweight, but now I'm healthy and all 60 lbs of love!! (Updated photos coming soon!) I'm crate trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Everyone who has met me has fallen in love!!! I'm only around 2 years and have a full long life to live.

Will you give me a chance to show you what a good boy I am? I promise I'll be good! Apply to adopt Rufus me at http://forgottendogs.org/adopt/application/ or contact us at info.5thward@gmail.com - Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Houston American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
