My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Hachi, the number "8" in Japanese --- a very lucky number!!. I was found by a good Samaritan on the side of the road with my other two siblings who had already passed away. The Austin Animal Center treated me for malnutrition, dehydration, and mange, and then I was rescued by Cocker Spaniel Rescue of Austin/San Antonio and sent to a loving foster home... YAY!!

I am about 10 months old and am very playful and smart. My foster parents have been training me to sit, stay, shake hands, down, and wait (especially when its meal time). They say that I am a quick learner and am great with kids and other furry friends too. I am also very good with on the leash and while on walks.

I been working on gaining some weight, but my doctor said that I am a strong and healthy boy considering my ruff start. I do have a fractured nose which has healed, that explains my loud breathing. Nothing to worry about my doctor said.

I asked Santa Paws to please help me find a forever home with a comfy bed and a wonderful family who will love me as much as I love them. I'll be their good-luck charm, and they can be mine!!
