About Project POOCH, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Project POOCH, Inc., provides opportunities for youth in corrections to develop the personal and vocational skills they will need to become responsible, productive members of the community. The program accomplishes this by teaching youth to care for and train shelter dogs for adoption.

We have successfully paired youth at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn with homeless dogs since 1993.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets reside inside MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility at 2630 N Pacific Highway, Woodburn, Oregon. We are open daily from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. All visits are by appointment ONLY. Since it is a correctional facility, all visitors must be on the guest list. When visiting, you can only bring in your keys and photo ID. All else must be left outside the gate. To schedule an appointment, please call our kennel at (503) 981-2570.

Our Adoption Process...

We want every adoption to be a successful one. Our adoption process may take some time as we do conduct home visits. Also, all of our dogs must pass their Canine Good Citizen Test before they can go to their forever homes. For more information about our adoption process, visit http://www.pooch.org/howToAdopt.php.
