Sophie found herself taken care of by neighbors for a couple of months...when the family she lived with moved out and just left her there tied to the tree by her doghouse The neighbors believed that maybe the family was coming back since they left all their belongings also...........but, when that never happened, they realized Sophie and their belongings were no longer important enough for anyone to come back for and the animal control brought her to the shelter.
She was fearful, but hopeful said the look in her photo....and so when I kept seeing posts saying the shelter should take another picture of her because she looked awful in that one I knew she wouldn't stand a chance. No chance the picture would be retaken and no chance she'd be adopted or rescued from that photo. So , of course we took her. We LOVE the underdogs as they have always turned out to be dogs with the biggest hearts EVER!!!
Sophie is a hound/beagle mix that is around 30lbs. She is a bundle of love and with each person who visits her she still shows that same hopeful attitude. She has been spayed, brought current on all vaccines, microchipped and made ready to come home. REACH OUT AND MAKE THAT HAPPEN because I KNOW if you've ever wanted a dog that will be devoted she's that kind!
