My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RAMONA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!Meet Ramona, a beautiful 1.5-2 year old, female German Shepherd in need of a loving home. This sweet and gentle girl was rescued from a kill shelter in Kentucky. She was found in emaciated condition, weighing less than 40 pounds upon entering the shelter. She has gained several pounds in the short time she has been with our rescue and is now almost 50 pounds. Her ideal weight is 65-70 pounds, so she's got a bit of a way to go but she's heading in the right direction. She's got a very healthy appetite and is being fed several small meals throughout the day. We are unsure of how she got be in such condition but despite her rough past, Mona loves people. She can be a bit bashful when she first meets people, but she warms up very quickly. Ramona is a wonderful representation of the German Shepherd breed. She's loyal, intelligent, eager to please and very loyal. She bonds closely with her people and is a velcro dog: she's happiest when near her people and always keeps a close eye on the ones she loves. Mona is quiet and well behaved in the home and is crate trained. She does well with her house breaking when kept on a regular schedule. She is being fostered with several other dogs and gets along well with everyone, she loves to wrestle with the younger dogs in her foster home and is respectful of the older ones. This beautiful girl is a gem of a dog and will make any Shepherd lover very happy. Ramona is currently being fostered in Chicago. Her adoption donation to the rescue is $275. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, HW tested and ready for her new family! For more info or for an adoption application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com
