Hello there! Thank-you for clicking on my profile, I’d love to meet you. Let me tell you a little bit about adopting me.
My name is Maple and I am a 6 1/2 year old spayed female Poodle mix who came to NBS Animal Rescue when I was found wandering the streets scared and alone. My foster mom and dad take really great care of me and have helped me to settle in and not be so nervous.
My foster mom says I am a super sweet girl who enjoys snuggling on your lap, going for short walks, and when I'm comfortable in my environment I like to play and carry around soft toys. I really love to snuggle on my foster dad's lap - I'm a world class snuggler!
I am doing really well at learning how to potty outside as long as you take me out on a regular basis. I walk pretty well on a leash next to my foster parents - but I get a little scared every now and then so I need someone who will be patient and understanding with me.
I'm living with two foster canine brothers and sisters and we get along great. I'm not very playful so I would not be a good fit for a house that had a very playful other dog, I'm more of a mellow little lady who wants a calm and quiet home. Although I think kids are wonderful, they do tend to move around quickly and make sudden loud movements that scare me. I would prefer a home with kids 12 years or older.
I haven't met any kitty cats yet, but my foster mom thinks that I would probably be interested but not too interested in chasing a kitty.
My friends at NBS Animal Rescue are helping me to find the perfect fur-ever home. All of the dogs in our rescue are have different personalities and needs within an adoptive home. Not all of my friends here at NBS Animal Rescue have the same requirements, so if I’m not be the perfect fit for your family- be sure to check out my other doggy friends too! For me?

If you think I might be the perfect addition to your family please follow these steps:
1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out my adoption application. As an approved adopter, my rescue friends can set up a home visit so I can meet you. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, to help your application be processed as quickly as possible, please make sure to….
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pet’s veterinary history.
3.) Call your references too! Let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number, and a rescue team member will need to talk to them on the phone as a reference.
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food. If you’d like to meet me, please apply online and to become an approved adopter!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative , spayed/neutered (unless a documented medical reason is on file with your veterinarian). Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
