Simba's Story...
Simba is between 1 and 1.5 years old. He is about 50 lbs and very much like a puppy, he is jumpy and mouthy, loves to play around all the time and rolls on his back for belly rubs. He has a very affectionate personality.
Simba gets along with other dogs and has been around small kids, but he has not been cat tested. He needs an active family who will work with him on basic obedience and give him the daily exercise he needs. He is crate trained and housebroken. Currently located in a foster home in Palm Coast, FL
If interested in giving Simba a home, please visit www.dbgsdrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. His adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Ormond Beach German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever for sale in Ormond Beach, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Ormond Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ormond Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ormond Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ormond Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
