Rosie's Story...
Meet Rosie! Rosie is a mix of mixes. She's probably got some hound, some cattledog, and some love bug mixed in. Rosie was removed from a situation where her siblings were being given away at 5 weeks of age. She is currently fostering in SC but will be up within 2 months. By the time she is in Maine she will be current on all age appropriate vetting as well as spayed. As she's growing she seems to be the alpha female. More of a people's dog than a dog's dog. She would do best in a home with either passive males or as an only dog. She LOVES her people though. Hasn't met one she doesn't like. If you think you'd make a great home for this sweet southern belle please fill out an adoption application! Her adoption fee is $350.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Augusta Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Augusta, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Augusta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Augusta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Augusta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Augusta paves the way for another one to be saved.
