Chewy is a big gentle giant. Good with other dogs. Don't know about cats as none in the foster home. Good with kids. 3 years old - estimate by vet as he was a stray.

The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form.

Then a volunteer in your area will contact you to come meet you. After the home visit the adoption coordinator will put you in contact with the foster family of the dog(s) you are interested in. We do not have a kennel in Lee, Mass. When you meet the dog if there is a connection then you will fill out an adoption contract and take you new family member home.

We do not accept invisible fencing for the following reasons:
1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy (aka Biggie) - in MA, a Lee Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Lee, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Lee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lee paves the way for another one to be saved.
