Nancy's Info...

Nancy's Story...
Adoption fee on this dog is $300.

Nancy is a 2 year old white female. She was a stray from the Merced shelter, so nothing is known of her background.

Nancy is a beauty, with a constantly wagging tail. She loves life, playing with other dogs, and getting cuddles on a dog bed. She is energetic, so no cats or young children for her. She would love agility or jogging, and a playful dog buddy would keep her busy in the yard.

She loves to wrestle with other dogs, a little too much for the older ones. She is submissive with dogs, and will crawl on her belly and lick the other dog's mouth to make friends. She rarely barks, but can get bored in the yard by herself and dig.

She is housebroken and crate trained. She is treat motivated and is a great pet for someone that wants a smart dog to teach obedience or tricks.

NO cats or small furry critters for this girl.

This dog is a Level 3. Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires. Go to our GCGSR Dogs page for an explanation of the Dog Rating Levels.

For more information and to see when this dog will be attending an Adoption Day, please see our Dogs page on our main website at www.gcgsr.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nancy, a Modesto German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Modesto, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Modesto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Modesto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Modesto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Modesto paves the way for another one to be saved.
