Looking for the most adorable cat ever? Meet Cashew! Cashew is a handsome young medium hair boy that is looking for a forever home. He loves being around people and will often try to climb into your lap and put his paws gently on your face. Don't let his grumpy face fool you! He is very sweet, gentle, and affectionate and is so appreciative of any bit of attention you give him. He is happiest when you are near him and will often follow you around! Cashew gets along well with other cats and enjoys playing and cuddling with another foster cat he is residing with. He is a chatty guy that loves talking to you and has no problem telling you what is on his mind. He has so much personality! Cashew is extremely treat motivated and enjoys searching for treats his foster mom hides around his room. He enjoys playtime and wand toys, but is also content to just lay next to you or on your lap.
Cashew was originally adopted as a kitten from Chicago Animal Care & Control last Christmas Eve. Sadly he turned up as a stray recently once again at the shelter in poor condition so we decided to rescue him. This sweet boy was starved for love (and food!). He was extremely skinny and missing fur. We aren't sure what happened to him since last Christmas, but we do know that Cashew is very grateful to be in a loving foster home now. He is putting on weight and filling out and his beautiful fluffy coat is growing back nicely. We think he looks very handsome and keeps on getting cuter by the day! Cashew was given a clean bill of health from the vet and he is ready for once and for all to find a loving home with someone who knows how amazing he is! Whatever love you give him, he will repay it tenfold!
