Buddy #16-587. Arrived 10/31/2016 at 1 year old.
Buddy came to us with a very distraught owner holding the other end of the leash. After finding Buddy abandoned, he had hoped to find a home for him. But as time had passed and he became more attached, it became harder to imagine parting ways. Buddy's Guardian was evicted from his home because he didn't want to fail Buddy. He did everything right for Buddy including getting him vaccinated, heartworm tested, and neutered. We have found Buddy to be incredibly well trained for his age. While he still has some of the puppy mouthiness, he is very responsive to the commands for sit, down, and give paw. Buddy responds instantly to when is name is called to come. Buddy's Guardian reports that he is housebroken and used to sleeping in his own bed as well as cuddling in his human's bed. Buddy is reported to have been exposed to kids under 5 and shown to be friendly and playful. Buddy was accepting of strangers to the home. He can be known to try and dig out of the yard, and can be frightened of thunder, vacuums, and fireworks. Buddy still has to b treated like a puppy as he can get into chewing things that he shouldn't. Buddy is in search of a home without other animals; he was known to play a little rough and had shown that there were some dogs that he just didn't like at all when introduced. Buddy is still very much a puppy, but when he matures, he is going to be a very dedicated best friend.
