My story

The beautiful Ms. Joy is officially vetted and ready for a home to call her own! Joy is a 9-ish year old beagle, who was found running the country streets before she was turned into animal control. When I say that Joy is perfect, I am not kidding. Admittedly I am a cat person, don’t get me wrong I love dogs, but my lifestyle and schedule is fit for cat ownership. Joy makes me want a dog! She is so extremely sweet and calm, truly she is more like a stuffed animal than a dog! All Joy needs in life to be happy is somebody who will pet her and love on her, she is not selective with her affection either. If you pet her, she melts and is all yours. Joy is absolutely perfect with all animals, and will even get a little spunky and play with her dog foster siblings from time to time. The more time I spend with Joy the more I know she would make a phenomenal touch therapy dog for a child or person with autism, or the perfect therapy service dog to bring to hospitals or nursing homes. Joy has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm, tested negative, and has had a dental (many of her teeth had to be removed). As much as I don’t want to have to give up my Joy snuggles it is time to find her a home that is as perfect as she is!
