DOB: September, 2010 ||| BREED/COLORING: Labrador/Beagle Mix; Tan with White ||| SIZE: Mattie weighs about 42lbs and is full grown. ||| HISTORY: Mattias was sleeping on a street in the dirt in Tijuana when one of our fantastic MX rescuers came across him and asked if anyone could help him. He looked like a senior in his photos, so we committed to getting him OUT of the dirt. He did not end up being as old as we thought he was. ||| PERSONALITY: Mattias is somewhat nervous around people he doesn’t know. He’s more comfortable with dogs. He may well have been abused on the streets. He’s SUPER sweet and waggy once he does know you. ||| TRAINING: We are working with Mattias now on his housebreaking. Most dogs from Mexico do not have any housebreaking skills. ||| WOULD DO BEST: Mattias would do best with a quiet, adult-only home – either where someone is home most of the day or where there is another dog to keep him company. He does require a yard. ||| CATS/DOGS/KIDS: We do not recommend ANY dog from the streets of MX for homes with cats. Mattie is GREAT with other dogs. He is not recommended for children since loud noises and fast movements scare him. ||| VET RECORD: All of our dogs are currently vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. ||| AVAILABILITY: This dog is available for adoption now and is being fostered or kenneled in the San Fernando Valley area. Please email us and we will send you an adoption application. Local adoptions only. ||| Visit our website: http://www.foreverhomepetrescue.org/ ||| Visit us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/foreverhome ||| Make a donation to help us continue to save lives: http://www.foreverhomepetrescue.org/donate.html
