MEET VANDI — a red-headed, 8 yr old, 16-lb Lhasa Apso. Vandi came to us from the Carson shelter with several growths in her mouth and on her side, which we had removed and were found to be benign. We think she is almost completely deaf, but she does respond somewhat to very loud stimuli. Her foster moms report that she likes to curl up in their lower cupboards! She also likes hanging out in a crate — even when it’s not bedtime. Vandi loves to walk and is good on a leash. She does well in the car too. She’s not very interested in other dogs, so she would do great as the only pup in a senior home. Vandi knows how to use a doggy door, but she’s still working on her potty-training skills. Do you have room in your home for this mellow girl?

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
