Buster's Story...
Buster was born June 21, 2015 and was adopted when he was 8 weeks old. He has been through obedience training and knows many commands. He is good on a leash. He enjoys running with the family. However in his exuberance he often knocks the younger children over. The 10 year old and Buster get along great together. He listens to her, they take walks and play fetch with tennis balls. But the family worry about the younger children.
Buster is crate trained and house trained. He enjoys hiking, playing fetch, running and swimming. The family just worries about the little ones being knocked down.
Here at the shelter, Buster misses his family very much. He is not happy and longs to go to a home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Hillsboro German Shepherd Dog/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Rhodesian Ridgeback for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Rhodesian Ridgeback dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Rhodesian Ridgeback breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
