Facts about Kuna

  • Breed: Hound (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut - With Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
This happy girl is a 5-year old Hound/Golden Retriever mix weighing in at 48.8 pounds. Kuna is a smart, athletic girl with a LOT of energy -- she's going to need a home with room to run.

She's highly affectionate, but her current exhuberant greeting habit suggests that children in her new family be 13 or above. Bonus if they'll play tuggy with her!

Her hunting dog ancestry shows up when small, chaseable animals are around, but she does well with other dogs.

Up for an adventure? Please call the kennel at (503) 981-2570 to schedule a visit.

About Project POOCH, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Project POOCH, Inc., provides opportunities for youth in corrections to develop the personal and vocational skills they will need to become responsible, productive members of the community. The program accomplishes this by teaching youth to care for and train shelter dogs for adoption.

We have successfully paired youth at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn with homeless dogs since 1993.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets reside inside MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility at 2630 N Pacific Highway, Woodburn, Oregon. We are open daily from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm. All visits are by appointment ONLY. Since it is a correctional facility, all visitors must be on the guest list. When visiting, you can only bring in your keys and photo ID. All else must be left outside the gate. To schedule an appointment, please call our kennel at (503) 981-2570.

Our Adoption Process...

We want every adoption to be a successful one. Our adoption process may take some time as we do conduct home visits. Also, all of our dogs must pass their Canine Good Citizen Test before they can go to their forever homes. For more information about our adoption process, visit http://www.pooch.org/howToAdopt.php.
