Winnie's Info...

Winnie's Story...
"Winnie" is a beautiful 3-year old female Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered by her owner on November 9, 2016 along with her housemates (Honey Bear, Joey, and Phoebe). "Winnie" has a sleek black short smooth coat, a white blaze on her chest, white paws, a long tail, and a darling face with a long muzzle and short floppy ears. This lovely lady has a gentle, quiet disposition and a friendly, easygoing personality. "Winnie" has not had the luxury of being trained to walk on a leash so we opted to take her preliminary glamour photos in her kennel where she was most comfortable. "Winnie" wagged her tail ever so gently when we first opened her kennel gate and chose to continue lying on the floor, but with a little soothing 'baby-talk', she stood up and walked over for some petting. We will be anxious to take more flattering photos when "Winnie" is ready to walk outdoors. She is a fairly big girl who weighs 77 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
