His adoption fee of 460.00 includes transport cost, microchipping, deworming and age appropriate vaccinations. Campbell is being fostered in Memphis, Tennessee until he is adopted and will then travel via transport company to his forever home.

All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions ( and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Thanks for choosing rescue!!

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a rescue based out of Memphis, Tennessee with fosters and chapters in various parts of the United States. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home as many homeless pets in the mid-south as we possibly can to save them from euthanasia. Their only fault...there are just too many. The euthanasia rate in this city is a staggering 79%. We watch perfectly healthy, well-adjusted pets be euthanized daily because there simply are not enough homes for them all. The solution...stronger spay/neuter laws and education but until then, these pets deserve a future too!

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process starts right here – you finding yourself your new best friend and family member. Once you have found one of these beautiful souls we ask that you complete an adoption application.

Once the application has been approved, the selection process begins. As with any adoption, we want to ensure our dogs are going into the best fit home – not only for them, but for you as well. Pet adoption is a big commitment and we want to make sure these dogs don’t endure anymore hardships than they already have.

The final step in the adoption process is the spay/neuter contract (assuming the puppy is too young or unable to be spayed or neutered at the time of adoption).

Once the adoption process has been finalized, we will make reservations for transport to your area. The transport is NO ADDITIONAL COST to the adopters. **Please note: Most of our dogs are fostered in Memphis, TN - our transport runs about once every other week to Vermont.**
