Pumpkin's Story...
The guys in the gym aren’t the only “buff” ones – look at me, Pumpkin. I’m a buff-orange feline who could be a feline male model. Look at my stylish coat and my super-long whiskers. Have you seen a boy as handsome as me? Now, don’t sit there thinking that I’m some self-obsessed guy, some Narcissus who looks at himself in the mirror all day. Far from it. See, what I really want to do is sit in your lap all day! The FOHA volunteers think it’s quite adorable, the way I cuddle up in a lap….but never quite sit still. I need to keep repositioning myself for the most comfortable (for me) position. If you’d like, you can certainly brush my fabulous fur while we’re just sitting here, too. While you shower me with affection, I’ll grace you with my gloriousness. I’m no jack-o-lantern. I’m the pulchritudinous Pumpkin!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Aldie Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
