Otto's Story...

I was rescued from the airport grounds in Mexico with several other puppies. I spent the last few months in a small sanctuary operated by a handful of volunteers. Through networking I was flown to Los Angeles. I’m very mild tempered, calm and when I get comfortable, I like to play with other dogs and cuddle next to my human. In my foster home I live with a former Forte rescue who guides me and I am acclimating very well. I enjoy going on walks, my foster parent says I’m eager to learn and understand commands. I’m ready to have my own home and to show my new family how loyal and loving I can be.

[Otto is 1 year old and weighs 20 lbs.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Otto, a Marina del Rey Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
