for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Max's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Max's Story...
This boy is so sweet, it breaks your heart! He does not have a mean or aggressive bone in his body and he should be the poster dog for the Pit Bull breed (even though he's mixed!).

We rescued Max from being put down at the city shelter because his time there had run out. He is absolutely fabulous with other animals-- dogs AND cats --and is a big scaredy cat himself. He's submissive, very, very affectionate, and LOVES to cuddle. Our guess is that he was not treated very well in his former life because he tends to be hand shy and initially very nervous around strangers (particularly men). He warms up quickly however and is never aggressive in any way. He also is not a big barker and listens quite well.

He is about 2 1/2 years old and weighs about 43 pounds. We are looking for someone as special as Max to give him a permanent, loving home where he will never have to be frightened of the world again. He would love a home with another dog to play with (he loves to play and prefers to have companionship as much as possible).

Max is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Adoption fee is $175.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Brooklyn Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer dog from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
