Rosie's Story...
Rosie

Rosie is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met.

Rosie was originally found by the dog warden, as a very skinny stray and was taken to the pound. She stayed there for a couple of weeks while waiting for someone to come looking for her. No one ever came to claim her. So we took her into our rescue. She weighed a mere 32 lbs.

After running blood work and other tests (including a routine fecal exam), we discovered that Rosie is diabetic. So after getting her insulin regulated, she started to gain weight and feel better.

Rosie takes insulin shots twice a day. She doesn't mind the shots and they are really easy to give.

Rosie has been spayed. She is current on all vaccines, microchipped, and heart worm negative. She is crate trained and house broken. She is kept on heartworm prevention. She has gotten along great with all of the dogs she has met and she does fine with cats. She has loved and cuddled every person she has come in contact with including my children.

Rosie deserves a wonderful life. She was not treated well in her life prior to coming to us. If you think you can be her forever, please go to www.howlatthemoonrescue.com and fill out the application.
Her adoption fee is $150

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Zanesville American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Zanesville, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Zanesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Zanesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Zanesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Zanesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
