Ebenezer's Story...
Ebony, aka Ebenezer, is a 4 year old, male powder puff chinese crested and long-hair chihuahua mix. Ebenezer was surrendered to PPR after his owner's illness took a sudden turn requiring her to go into assisted living.

Ebenezer looks like a grumpy old man, until he is doing zoomies along the couch or playbowing at new doggie friends. Despite having a few painful mats on his paws, Ebbie was great for the groomer and she told us he was her new "puppy crush"! Ebbie is a bit tentative around new people, but when he decides you are OK he is a total lover boy. He seems to have some little dog worries, but is fantastic around other polite dogs if they don't try to step on him. Ebenezer would love a quiet home, with someone to pal around with most of the day, though he is still young and has shown interest in play so he might enjoy a companion. Overall, this is a sweet, adorable little man just looking for a new place to call his own. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ebenezer, a bridgeport Chinese Crested/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested/Chihuahua for sale in bridgeport, or seeking a Chinese Crested/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in bridgeport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in bridgeport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a bridgeport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested/Chihuahua breeders who help with Chinese Crested/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in bridgeport paves the way for another one to be saved.
