My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is one of a litter of 11 puppies. Her mama is a Border Collie who was picked up as a stray, brought into rescue and then delivered the puppies just 1 week after her rescue. The mama was in very poor condition when she was rescued, but she was an amazing mama who took VERY good care of her babies and now both the mom and babies are doing wonderful! Ginger has been hand raised and handled since birth and she is truly interested in being with people and is comfortable being handled, including having her ears and paws played with! Ginger is smart as a whip and is learning new commands and tricks every day. She LOVES children and will be an amazing family dog and possibly has potential to be a therapy dog with her quiet, loving personality and she is very in tune with people’s emotions and facial expressions. Ginger is praise and food motivated so it makes training super easy. She really loves toys, balls, antlers and wood sticks, the tricky treat ball and puzzle games and she loves playing outside. Ginger is also very happy to sit at my feet under my desk during the day and is a little shadow. Ginger is working on crate training, she will go into her crate with some treat motivation, but she’d really prefer to just sleep with you in your bed or on the sofa! Ginger is a little piggy when it comes to meal times and she dives into her bowl with gusto! She does great walking on a leash, loves to go for walks and is doing really well with loose leash walking and not pulling. She is VERY smart and really wants to please. She is nearly completely potty trained too and uses a bell on the door handle to alert us to needing to go out! Ginger has had her 3rd set of shots and rabies vaccine. She has already been microchipped, is on heart worm preventative, and has negative fecal testing. Ginger is more than ready for a family of her own, especially one with kids and humans will work with her training as she is just so brilliant!
