Darcy's Story...
Darcy is a 6 yr old chihuahua that weighs about 5 lbs, she should weigh about 6 lbs. Her owner died and the family didn't want her so they dumped Darcy at the shelter. While she was there another dog attacked her as you can see from one of the photos. The shelter fixed her wounds and she is healed, but they were overcrowded and afraid to put her back into the general population thinking she might get attacked again.

So the shelter put her on the euthanasia list. When we heard that we couldn't let that happen and so our group rescued her. She is completely healthy with no health issues. She had a blood panel done and had her teeth cleaned. She's great with other dogs, super sweet and friendly. She loves to snuggle and mellow. She would be fine in an apartment setting because she isn't a barker and is house trained.

If you are interested in Darcy, please complete the on-line application as she does not always attend the weekly adoption event on Saturdays at PETCO. You can also contact us for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darcy, a Studio City Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Studio City, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Studio City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Studio City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Studio City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Studio City paves the way for another one to be saved.
