Ice T's Story...
These kittens are not all from the same litter, but they were rescued from the same rural colony and were all born in September 2016. They are guaranteed to make life a little sweeter for anyone who adopts them!

Iced T (Girl, brown tabby w/ white face and mittens, sibling of Banana Split): The smartest kitten. She was the first to learn to climb the gate. She loves watching the group from a high vantage point. She’ll climb up your back and sit on your shoulders while you are doing chores.

Banana Split (Boy, brown tabby w/ leopard spots, sibling of Iced T) - ADOPTED!

Chocolate Chip (Girl, black coat w/ amber eyes, sibling to Mocha and Rocky Road): This is the tiniest kitten in the bunch. She has a beautiful face and is very keen on cuddling. She likes to hang out with Iced T, but really gets along well with everyone.

Mocha (Boy, black coat w/ amber eyes, sibling to Chocolate Chip and Rocky Road): A rambunctious little boy who will play all day with his brother, Rocky Road. He loves giving nose kisses to the humans.

Rocky Road (Boy, black coat w/ muddy blue eyes, sibling to Chocolate Chip and Mocha): Rocky has a full face and bee-yoo-tiful eyes. He’s well-rounded, confident, cuddly and very playful.

The Ice Cream kittens are micro chipped, have had all shots appropriate for their age, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ice T, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
