Hobbs's Story...
Hobbs is a 10-month-old Shepherd x Collie x Terrier mix who weighs approximately 45 lbs. He is a happy go lucky guy who loves to be with his people.
Hobbs is housetrained and crate trained. He gets along with other dogs of all sizes, and just wants to play non-stop if they will play with him. He is very friendly towards new people, including children, though he does have a tendency of inadvertently knocking the little ones down.
Hobbs' adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, current de-wormings, a leash, collar, and some food. Adoption forms can be found at www.cleokarmacaninerescue.com and must be submitted prior to meeting the dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hobbs, a Duchess Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Duchess, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Duchess.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duchess already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duchess breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duchess paves the way for another one to be saved.
