Archie's Story...
Please submit applications at www.sophiedogrescue.org - read entire description to see if this dog is for you!

Archie is a one of those sweet dogs that found his way into an IN kill shelter. He has been in foster for a month now and learned that being inside on a soft bed is pretty cool. He is still learning manners as he was never handled or inside but he is just as sweet and gentle as can be. He has been god with all dogs but can stand up to larger males. He loves kids! This is going to make someone a wonderful companion if you have time to give him the exercise he needs. At about 60 pounds and 1-2 years old he is fully grown. He is crate trained, housebroken (almost) and loves loves loves attention! His adoption fee is $325 and includes neuter, microchip, vaccinations for age, deworming, health certificate (out of state adoptions) and is current on flea/heart worm medications. Please fill out an application at www.sophiedogrescue.org if you are interested in bringing him into your home. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Cincinnati Labrador Retriever/Saluki dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Saluki for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Saluki dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Saluki breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Saluki rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
