June Bug's Story...
My name is June Bug and I am a little over a year old and about 45 lbs. However, I need to put on at least 10 lbs to be at a healthy weight. I LOVE treats, but I'm spoiled and make my foster mom mix some canned food in with my dry food. We are working on that. I was a stray who was hit by a car, had hip surgery and I am completely recovered. This means I need a little boost getting in the car, but otherwise it doesn't affect me at all. I am really good in my kennel, meaning I won't mess or bark or even cry. I won't get in unless you give me a treat, though, I'm no dummy. I am house trained and I know a few basic commands, but need some work with the follow through. I love to cuddle and snuggle, but also play and run around in the yard. I am very good with other dogs and around children. I have a really sweet nature and over all I am a really good girl. Please contact my foster mom at laurabelozer@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June Bug, a Overland Park Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
