Button's Story...
Button is a petite, sweet and soft black and white tuxedo (mainly black, white paws and chest, and a little white on her face). She is only about 9 pounds, has very soft silky hair, and a little tiny black "button" spot on her nose. She also has gorgeous dark green eyes. She seems to be about 3 years of age and will parade and roll wanting you to pet her. She reached out of her cage at a dog during an adoption event, so seems she may be OK with a small uninterested dog. She's good about nail trims. Playful...LOVES to have a feather wand waved in the air for her to stand up and bat at! For more information about Button, please contact her foster mom, Carol, at 913.469.9881 or cjdavis@everestkc.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Button, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
