I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Oscar's Story...
Oscar is a handsome guy with very unique black stripes on his body and legs. He is the biggest of his brothers and sisters, but the most affectionate! He will quietly crawl in your lap, or rub on your legs for attention. He loves to be held and never turns down a pat on the head. He gets along just fine with the large dogs, cats and older kids in his foster home, occasionally coaxing the dogs to play with him.

All kitties go to their new owners spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and are negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adoption or have any questions, please contact info@rchsks.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oscar, a Manhattan Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
