Sylvester's Story...
Sylvester is a big sweetheart! His favorite thing is to be cradled in your arms and have his belly rubbed. He loves people and enjoys being held and cuddled. His favorite game is chasing the laser pointer around and pouncing when it comes near him. He likes to be where the action is, so he will sit and watch his foster family, always curious about what they are doing. He shares his foster home with dogs, cats and older kids and gets along with everyone.

All kitties go to their new owners spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and are negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in adoption or have any questions, please contact info@rchsks.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sylvester, a Manhattan Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
