Black Hills's Story...
Hi, we’re the mountain range kittens – each of us named for a different mountain range. I’m Black Hills and I’m both powerful, majestic and a very unusual color called black smoke. I’m definitely the queen of this litter and whenever one of my brothers steps out of line, I like to show him who’s boss. All of my paws have extra toes (they call it being polydactyl) and that means that my feet are the perfect size for swatting an unruly sibling! But don’t worry, I’m not aggressive with people. In fact, I love people, so after going a few rounds with one of my brothers, I’ll be ready to come and cuddle with you. If you want to see what a Queen of the Kitties looks like, come to Helping PAWS and ask to see Black Hills.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Black Hills, a Washburn Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Washburn, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Washburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
