Aunt Mabel's Story...
Please meet Aunt Mabel. This pug girl is so sweet. She doesn't see well, but follows your voice. We are not sure how old she is, but we are guessing 8. She's very active and loves to play. She gets along well with children and other dogs. She will require eye drops ongoing due to dry eye. She is being spayed and will be ready for her forever home. Unfortunately, Mabel has lived her entire life outside, so she will be a labor of love for her adopter. She is currently in a foster home and doing well with her housetraining. If you are interested in Mabel, please go to pugrescuenwa.com and complete an application. Please attach an application with your questions and email to email@example.com. It is difficult to answer questions unless an application is attached. Her adoption fee is $200.
We are a devoted group of people who appreciate the uniqueness of a pug. Pugs are A lot of Dog in a Small Space. We understand their special challenges, their medical problems and know that they are not the right dog for every family. They shed, they snore, they sneeze and they are prone to eye injuries. They also snuggle and love their humans with all that they have.
Through a variety of circumstances, pugs end up as strays, in Shelters or are owner-surrenders due to no fault of the dog. We take ANY pug in need, return them to the best health possible and work to find them the perfect FOREVER home for that particular dog.
We take this job very seriously! If we are going to look the dog in the eyes and tell them we are sending them to a better circumstance - we will believe it with all our heart.
Our Adoption Process...
All adoptions require a completed application, reference checks, a home visit, an adoption fee and a contract that states that the dog will be returned to us if the adoption doesn't work out for any reason. All of our adoptable dogs will be temperament evaluated, spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations and heartworm tested - unless health circumstances prohibit it.
Please don’t wait until you see your ‘DREAM’ dog before submitting an application to adopt. Getting your application pre-approved will keep your next family member from having to be in foster care for very long.
