Max's Story...
This is Max. Max needs your help! His current foster is unable to keep/handle him at the moment. He is 2 years old and is a GSP/Belgian Mal mix that is not fixed at the time being. Max was taken from his original owners who had him chained in the back yard with no food or water and had been being hit for playing too rough with the smaller animals. Max is very much so the escape artist. He can get out of almost any kennel and can open doors and gates. He does know basic commands but is a high energy dog. He does not like to be left alone and would do better with older kids in the house just cause he can knock the little kids over. Max is UTD on shots and has had flea/tick medication too. He is the sweetest, loving dog but just needs someone to take some extra time with him. Let us know if you can help!

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Broken Arrow already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Broken Arrow breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Belgian Malinois rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Broken Arrow paves the way for another one to be saved.
